“Harvard Research shows that experienced teachers and timely feedback are two of the most powerful influences on learning achievement.”
We maximise the attention given to students by keeping group size small or less than 6. We dedicate extra time to prepare targeted exercises and lesson notes. We vary teaching activities and assignments to suit individual needs. We monitor students’ progress closely and provide timely and constructive feedback. Writing assignments are given every week, marked and returned weekly.
Last year, 20% of our O Level students achieved a 3 grade improvement from when they started learning with us in Secondary 3. Another 40% scored 2 grades better and 35% improved by 1 grade for English Language. Consistently, our students have been able to make at least a 1 grade improvement within a year.
Aside from assessment books and examination papers, we provide rich resources like prize winning novels, Pulitzer award news sites, magazines, online quizzes or games, podcasts and our reading program. The reading program comes in print and online, covering different themes monthly to ensure that students are able to engage with oral, composition and comprehension examinations.
Our tutors are ex-MOE school teachers who have at least 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience each. We are highly skilled and passionate teachers with diverse classroom experiences, caring for students of different learning needs. We believe in the potential of each child to improve and become a confident user of the English language.
